![]() Yeah the red guy rekt a few people, but if Knuckle had just stayed hidden instead of deciding that his friend's pride was more important than the possible fate of the planet, red dude would of lost. Of the Royal guard, Pitou is the only one that seems actually intimidating. I'm sorry, cut the roughly 15 episodes worth of screen time all the low level Ants take up, you've got some decent stuff, but they drag the whole arc so far down. Towards the end I was just skipping the entire episodes dedicated to the octopus hopping about doing whatever the hell he was doing. Lion dude dies having done nothing but take like 30-40 minutes of screen time, Cheetu dies having done nothing but take 30-40 minutes of screen time. Seriously, I don't care what they're doing, I don't care what they're powers are, they in no way advance the plot, or have any significant impact on anything. I just am all out of fucks to give for that lion guy, the wolf dude, and Cheetu. Honestly, I'd find it watchable, if after the royal guard are born, they just said "all the squadron leaders were caught by hunters the end". In relation to the main characters, this is 70 episodes of what might as well be filler. Gon will still be Gon, maybe a bit darker, Killua will still be Killua, less afraid but essentially the same. ![]() At the end of this arc, Gon won't be any closer to his dad, this all might as well not have happened, as far as our main characters are concerned. We could get these exact character developments in a different character arc that could, unlike CA arc, at all contribute to where we're going. Every bit of character development (Killua removing Illumi's needle, Gon getting mad when his friend gets hurt, the other little bits and pieces) is good, but the avenue we have to take to get there is sooooooo looooong. First, the entire backbone of this arc, really, honestly, could not exist, and nothing would change. I guess I'll start with the problems (this will mostly be me venting). Since the start of this arc I've been thinking "they can't get that much more mileage out of bug people, yeah?", and then I checked and the arc makes up like half of the total show, and it's just, so, boring. In total, this arc feels like it should of taken 20-30 episodes, but it just keeps going and going and going and going. Everything in this arc is either not needed, or could be done much much better. I don't really know how else to put this. I have just finished the Mureum vs Netaro fight, and I (spoiler alert) hear he comes back and then dies to poison. ![]() As of episode 148, the anime has reached chapter 339.įirst things first, I'm not quite at the end.Where's the anime in relation to the manga?.Furthermore, use the spoiler button if there are spoilers inside your link/text post.
